Fifty-Six Capital is a London investment firm with its roots in eighty years of Swedish manufacturing. We invest our own capital in early-stage companies with early commercial traction.

Our background

Our history is industrial. It began in Sweden in 1946 with a precision engineering works that is still running today, and grew into a group that designs and builds lifts for homes and buildings in more than 60 countries, with factories in Sweden, Italy, Türkiye, India and China. The group employs over 1,300 people globally and completes a lift every 30 minutes. The discipline of running factories is what we bring to investing.

Our investments

We invest in early-stage companies that have early traction and a strong team and board. We make a small number of investments and take an active role in the companies we back, typically as lead investor, board member or adviser.

We look for businesses that make an industry more efficient, more sustainable or more transparent, and we support them for the long term.
